to The QuBlog. This is the first article on my new blog platform, which is pretty exciting. Expect to see content about quantum computing, code samples, link collections to quantum resources, and much more.

Who am I?

I work for Microsoft since 2006 - started as Technical Evangelist, work now as Cloud Solution Architect. My mission is to enable enterprise customers to develop and operate reliable, resilient, cloud-based software architecture. As a Quantum Ambassador I am passionate about the field of quantum computing and its applications in emerging problems of our age.

Prior to assuming this role, I served as Senior Project Manager at a big German utilities provider and as Manager for an internationally renowned technology consultant company.

I hold a Doctorate’s degree in Computer Science from Technical University of Munich.

What do I intend to write about?

As already stated above, I plan to write about…

• News about Azure Quantum and related cloud services
• Optimization approaches solvable with quantum computing
• Software architectures involving quantum technologies

Why a Blog?

In times where everyone seems to be heading towards Instagram, TikTok, … (no offense), it seems, I can relate more to an “old-school” text-based medium like a blog. It allows me to write about quantum topics and enrich the content with code samples.

How often will you read from me?

I’ll be honest: this is a side project, which limits the time I can spend on writing blog articles. Nevertheless, I have quite a backlog of topics.
